Oil and Gas Space is going to the Esri UC!

Well, it’s that time of year again. The Esri User Conference is set to kick off on June 27 and last through July 1st this year in sunny San Diego, California and Oil and Gas Space will be there covering it live with up to minute articles, news and videos. This year promises to be full of exciting events, lectures, sessions and hand on learning experiences. There will be several pre-conference events and concurrent industry specific summits happening as well. These start on Saturday June 25 and include the Esri Education, Imaging and Mapping Forum, Business Summit and National Security Summit.

We have several interviews lined up with Esri Subject Matter Experts which include:

  • Jack Dangermond, President of Esri
  • Jeff Shaner, Manager of Product Development
  • Tom DeWitte, UPDM Data Model
  • Brent Jones, Parcel Fabric Editor Development

According to the UC conference website, the events promises to connect over 16,000 GIS Users, 300 moderated sessions and 450 hours of technical training during this time. With hundreds of sessions to choose from, the difficult part is deciding which one to attend. The sessions range from simple techniques for cartographic map making to complex web application design. There are also several social events sponsored by Esri and other vendors where GIS users can gather and network in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

If you can’t make this year be sure to follow Oil and Gas Space for up to date news and event coverage from our website at Oil and Gas Space or see the detailed agenda and event listings at Esri User Conference information page.
